I was transplanting some new stuff into my container of mint, and found dozens of these creepy, irregular mushroomy marshmallowy looking blobs in the top 6 inches of the soil. I don't have these in my other containers.

They range in size from marble to walnut, with a white skin that feels like a mushroom. They're a little squishy. Open it up, there's a lot of mucous around a membrane containing the important bit: about six fleshy cylinders running parallel to one another. Some cylinders are darker on the outside, looking rather like salmon flesh right near the skin.

Any idea what this is? Please email me.
